Abortion drove many voters to the polls on Tuesday, but not always for Vice President Kamala Harris, as economic concerns weighed heavily on voters’ minds, according to polling data from to KFF and the Associated Press.
Almost a quarter of voters said abortion was the “single most important issue” in their vote, with almost 4 in 10 saying it had a big impact on their decision to leave. (similar to the percentages who said it in the 2022 midterm elections), and more than half said it had a big impact on the people they supported, according to the Associated Press’s VoteCast survey.
